The Feast of Transfiguration of our Lord Jesus Christ
On Sunday, July 16, 2023, Rev. Fr. Hayari Tanashian, Pastor’s Assistant celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon of the day. At the conclusion of the Liturgy, the Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Vicar and Parish Priest of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church explained that “Vartavar” is an ancient tradition coming from the days of Noah and the Ark’s landing on Mount Ararat and it is being celebrated up to this day. During the procession, the Priests sprinkled water on parishioners to mark the feast of “Vartavar”.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the parishioners enjoyed a light reception outdoors organized by the Parish Council members.
The children enjoyed playing water games as their brothers and sisters did on the same day around the world, especially in Armenia where the whole country, regardless of the age or status gets involved in this very fun and happy celebration.
At Holy Trinity Armenian Church, the parishioners, especially young children enjoyed a fun afternoon with their loved ones.
