By the invitation of The Honourable John McKay, P.C. , M.P. Scarborough – Guildwood, the second Round Table discussion with the leaders of Scarborough faith community took place on February 24th, 2011 at Holy Trinity Armenian Church.
As the host of this meeting, Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian, the Pastor, welcomed the faith leaders and invited them to join him in prayer after which the open forum discussion meeting started at 9:30am.
The main objective of this follow up meeting was to create a cooperative environment among faith groups and finding ways to work together on certain issues that are of great concern for all; specifically there were discussions about the involvement of youth in a community life.
Fr. Zargarian suggested taking part in a joint activity like Habitat For Humanity – Toronto which can be very productive in bringing the communities closer to each other and will serve the ultimate goal of sharing and solving the issues discussed during the meeting. The participants agreed to continue their cooperation to work for the betterment of families particularly in Scarborough community.
