On Sunday, November 9, Holy Liturgy was offered by His Grace, Bishop Vazken Mirzakhanian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. Participating in the solemn Mass were the acolytes, led by the Pastor of Holy Trinity Armenian Church, Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian.
Midway through the Liturgy, a large number of copies of the Holy Bible donated by Dn. Murat Karakas were blessed by His Grace, to the accompaniment of the choir and the acolytes.
His Grace also delivered the sermon of the day, which was a comprehensive history of the Armenian community in Georgia, going back to more than 2,000 years.
He also outlined the difficulties the Armenian communities in Javakhk, Akhalkalak and Tbilisi face, as well as
the enormous efforts that are being made to regain the basic rights of freedom of worship, as well as using and the teaching of the Armenian language.
He put emphasis on the importance of the human being, who is the creation of God and urged the congregation to treat each other as such.
The parishioners of HTAC join Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian in wishing His Grace, Bishop Vazken Mirzakhanian the moral and physical strength to lead the Armenian community in Georgia to a more peaceful and productive life.
