On Thursday, November 13, 2008, the Archdiocese of the Armenian Orthodox Church of Canada hosted a luncheon in honor of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Primate of the Armenian Church Diocese of Georgia.
The representatives of different denominations of Ontario’s Christian churches were present at the Holy Trinity Armenian Church to meet Bishop Mirzakhanian and take part in prayers. This was followed by a lunch-reception at the “Maral Ishkanian” Hall.
The Primate of the Armenian Church Diocese of Canada, His Grace Bishop Galstanian and Rev. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian, Pastor of Holy Trinity Armenian Church, welcomed the clergy and invited the Bible Study Group members as well to join in the diverse ecumenical prayer session, where each clergy said a prayer in their own language following the group prayer.
Bishop Mirzakhanyan had a chance to meet with his Christian brothers from other denominations, shared bread as well as his thoughts on Christian fellowship in the Republic of Georgia.
It was a pleasant meeting for all and a nice opportunity for the clergy to strengthen their relationship.
