On Sunday, February 28, 2011 toward the end of the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Armenian Church, a special blessing ceremony took place. By the invitation of Rev. Fr. Archpriest Zareh Zargarian, the Executive Members of the Toronto Armenian Organizations were invited to take part in the Divine Liturgy.
The guests were led towards the Holy Altar preceded by deacons carrying the Armenian and Canadian flags. They were blessed by Fr. Zagrarian and Fr. Datev Menengichian.
Fr. Zagrarian introduced the Armenian benevolent, cultural and business organizations to the parish. His inspirational sermon was dedicated to the important role of individuals who work tirelessly and with great dedication. Their activities, events and projects are all aimed towards the betterment of our beloved Armenia and our brothers and sisters living there.
Fr. Zareh outlined the important role of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Christian faith in general. He made a heartfelt appeal to the people present to continue working in unity and support our Motherland unconditionally through the Armenian organizations of the Diaspora.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the representatives of organizations were invited to the Church boardroom where they spoke on behalf of their respectful organization. It was a chance for all of them to socialize and renew their commitment to their mutual mission.
