The Future 25 Years of Armenia, Lessons from Past & Conclusion

Community members interested to hear about the past, present and future of the Republic of Armenia, were gathered at the “Magaros Artinian” Hall of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church of Toronto on Thursday, November 24, 2016.
An informative and engaging lecture delivered by His Excellency Armen Yegainian, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Canada was organized by the Interdenominational Committee of Toronto.
Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Vicar of the Armenian Church Diocese of Canada and Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Armenian Church welcomed and introduced Mr. Yeganian, the Ambassador and historian who studied at the faculty of History in Leningrad and Yerevan State Universities. Fr. Zargarian praised Mr. Yeganian for his positive approach and active involvement in the Armenian communities of Canada.
During the lecture, Mr. Yeganian covered a large spectrum of history related to Armenians in an engaging way, provoking questions and encouraging people to read more on certain chapters of our past where there are lessons to be learned and implement in solving current issues.
Mr. Yeganian concluded his lecture by reminding everyone that they are part of the Homeland even if they live in Diaspora. He listed ways of active involvement that could bring our country to a higher level of success in politics, economy, education and more. Mr. Yeganian answered questions raised by the audience. The question and answer period was moderated by Mr. Hagop Janbazian, Chair of the Interdenominational Committee.
The concluding prayer was delivered by V. Rev. Fr. Keghart Kosbakian, Parish Priest of St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church, The Rev. Serop Megerditchian, Pastor of the Armenian Evangelical Church and Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian. See more photos…
