In appreciation of His Eminence Bishop Bagrat Galstanian’s selfless services to the Armenian Apostolic Church and particularly to the Canadian Diocese, on October 16, 2010, Holy Trinity Armenian Church organized a banquet to honour His Eminence, on the occasion of 15th Anniversary of his ordination into priesthood, with the participation of St. Gregory The Illuminator (St. Catharines), St. Mary’s (Hamilton), St. Vartan (Mississauga) and St. Haroutyun (Windsor) Armenian Apostolic Churches.
In a festive atmosphere “Magaros Artinian” Hall was packed with a large group of parishioners and invitees.
After the opening remarks made by Mr. Antranig Tchilingirian, the head table and the guests of honor were introduced.
During the course of the dinner, a slide show was presented after which Miss. Lynn Anoush Isnar performed three songs accompanied by Mrs. Meline Afyan on the piano.
Congratulatory remarks were made by the Chairman of the Diocesan Council of the Armenian Church of Canada, Mr. Ara Boyajian.
A beautiful instrumental performance took place by Mr. Hrant Ketenjian on duduk and Mr. Grigor Shahmuradyan on dhol, followed by poetry recitation by Mrs. Gayane Minasyan.
At the conclusion of the cultural program was the upbeat performance of Holy Trinity Armenian Church’s Sassoun Dance Ensemble, which created a lot of joy in the hearts of the present and especially the Serpazan.
In appreciation for his devoted services, on behalf of the Diocesan Clergy & Parish Council, Auxiliary Bodies and the faithful, Fr. Zargarian delivered his congratulatory remarks to Bishop Galstanian and presented Serpazan Hayr with the highest order of the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church for the very first time, ‘The Golden Holy Cross Medallion’ and a remarkable beautiful oil painting by renown Armenian artist, Shmavon Shmavonian.
The love of the parishioners was symbolized with the presentation of a beautiful Bishop’s ring by Mr. & Mrs. Garabed Zakarian.
A heartfelt and spontaneous speech was made by Mr. Souren Ajemian, the godfather of Bishop Galstanian’s Episcopal ordination.
The evening was concluded with the humble remarks of Bishop Galstanian, with his personal testimony of faith and his appreciation to the evening’s organizers.
