On Saturday, October 5, 2019, The Honorable Jason Kenney, Premier of Alberta, met with church leaders in Toronto.
The Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Vicar of the Armenian Church Canadian Diocese and Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Armenian Church attended the meeting accompanied by Pastor Peter Nigosian from the Armenian Evengelical Church, Mrs. Rosin Imasdounian, Chair of the Parish Council, and other representatives from Holy Trinity Armenian Church.
The event was organized by Rev. Dr. Samuel Chan and Allan Tam, School Trustee in Markham at Gibson Centre. The main purpose was to strengthen each other’s friendship, and share God’s intention in Canada.
After the opening prayer, the Hon. Mr. Kenny delivered an inspiring speech addressing the church leaders, focusing on the value of democracy in Canada. He encouraged everyone to work together, united so Canada will continue to be the safe haven for many who choose to live and raise their families. Following his speech, a number of Church leaders spoke of the importance of faith and unity and the message of Gospel. Fr. Zargarian was invited to say the Lord’s prayer and a blessing in Armenian language.
