On Thursday, September 19, 2019, Her Excellency Anahit Harutyunyan, Ambassador of the Republic of the Armenia to Canada paid a visit to the Holy Trinity Armenian Church of Toronto.
Mrs. Ambassador was accompanied by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Toronto, Mr. Varoujan Lapoyan , Ms. Mariam Virabyan and Mr. Khoren Mardoyan and was welcomed by the Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Vicar of the Armenian Church Canadian Diocese and Parish Priest of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church, Rev. Fr. Hayari Tanashian, Pastor’s Assistant, Mrs. Rosin Imasdounian, Chair of the Parish Council and office staff of the Church.
Fr. Zargarian invited the guests to a tour of the building and presented a brief history of the parish which will be celebrating their 91st anniversary of establishment.
The guests joined the Priests in prayer for the safety and well being of Republic of Armenia, the Armenian people and for the new Ambassador’s mission to be successful. Following the blessings, everyone gathered in the boardroom for a reception during which many important subjects about the Armenian Community in Canada and their relations with Armenia were discussed.
On behalf of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church’s faithful parishioners and all auxiliary bodies, Fr. Zargarian extended well wishes and support to Ambassador Harutyunyan.
