On Sunday, March 30, 2025, the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto held its 103rd Annual Membership Assembly in the “Magaros Artinian” Hall. The meeting was presided over by His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovagimian, Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Canadian Diocese. Also in attendance were Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, Vicar of the Canadian Diocese and Parish Priest, along with Rev. Fr. Hayari Tanashian, Pastor’s Assistant.
The assembly officers were elected as follows:
Chairperson: Mr. Ohan Ohanessian
Recording Secretary (Armenian): Mrs. Betty Panossian
Recording Secretary (English): Mrs. Lina Marinosyan
Following an opening prayer led by His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovagimian, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian welcomed the attending members and presented a detailed report on the church’s sacraments, activities, and initiatives throughout 2024. He expressed his appreciation for the leadership of His Grace Bishop Hovagimian, the dedication and hard work of his assistant, Rev. Fr. Hayari Tanashian, and expressed his gratitude to the Chair of the Parish Council, Mr. Raffi Bedrosyan, under whose leadership the Council has actively continued its administrative duties and productive work. Fr. Zargarian appreciated the unwavering commitment of all volunteers from the Church, Barev Centre, and Armenian Family Support Services, whose efforts contribute to the success of the church’s mission.Fr. Zargarian’s report was unanimously approved and appreciated by the assembly.
Parish Council Chair, Mr. Raffi Bedrosyan, presented the annual report of the Parish Council, while Mr. Arbe Satouri provided a financial overview of the church and the “Barev” Centre. The members approved the financial reports and the projected budget for 2025. The leaders and participants of the meeting expressed their appreciation and approval for the financial reports prepared and presented by Arbe Satouri, the church’s volunteer accountant.
The Nominating Committee’s report, presented by Mrs. Rosin Imasdounian, outlined the following updates:
Parish Council: Welcoming two new advisors, Mr. Vahe Hakobyan and Mr. Gostan Gostanian, in addition to the current 11 members.
Diocesan Council: No changes.
Financial Review Committee: Three new members—Mr. Arayik Gyulumyan, Mr. Artak Nersisyan, and Mr. Ruben Bakhshinyan.
Nominating Committee: No changes.
The Chair of the Assembly, Mr. Ohan Ohanessian, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian, recognizing the immense and demanding responsibilities he carries with dedication and success. He also commended him on the many accomplishments of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church.
In his closing remarks, His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovagimian congratulated Rev. Archpriest Fr. Zareh Zargarian for his steadfast leadership and extended his gratitude to the Assembly Officers, Parish Council, and all volunteers and supporters for their unwavering commitment to the mission of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church.
The assembly concluded with His Grace’s prayer.
